Freya Mathilda Tiarks is a multidisciplinary designer using graphic design, conceptual fashion and performance to address societal and environmental issues. She is currently finishing her MA in Critical Fashion Practices, with her graduation project Traces of Wear. Freya Mathilda’s work blooms from a passion for the emotional bonds found within the shared garment.
Combining her background in Communication Design (BA) with fashion and performance, she explores the social dimensions of sharing by centering the relationship between garment and wearer. Holding the feeling of home as her Ariadne’s thread, Mathilda’s work presents craft and graphic design as mediums to foster an appreciation for worn garments and the traces of life they bear.
